real disappointed in the new truck/car market

I have my 2015 silverado LTZ which I love but I financed it and I pay a lot for it and i dont use it that much (a lease would of been better) but at the time i was supposed to drive tons of miles, cue now. truck is 3 years old has 19k miles on it.

so I look around see if theres anything I can lease that would meet what i want.
-silverado leases are high and the 2019 silverado is really ugly IMO
-really no v8 jeep GC's anymore (rare to find one and when you do price is up there)
-ram leases are cheap but I hate hate hate the twist knob shifter
-im not a ford person
-considering looking into the jeep grand cherokee altitude or durango RT but not crazy about them

normally i love looking for/getting new cars but i feel like i dont really like anything out there

blahhh

At first i thought the ram knob was the dumbest thing ever. But, after being in a few friends and my boss's trucks, i dont find it that bad. Its not like youre using to shift every gear.

But thats my view and im not trying to change your opinion.

We have a 2015 Grand Cherokee that has been great to us. We bought it new, and it now has about 34k on it. My wife's new job has her driving around a lot, so the miles are piling on, but the car is actually pretty efficient for what it is.

Yes, I wish we got the V8 too, but the V6 does its job and when properly equipped, can tow over 6000 pounds. Yes, the shifter is stupid, but you get used to it after a full week of use. If it bothers you, the 2017 got a normal shifter so you can probably find one lightly used for around 35k.

I would buy one again, but next time it would be a used one (depreciation in the first two years is killer) and I would search for a V8. These cars are a dime a dozen. If you have one in mind, get on the internets and search. I'm sure you'll find the right car. It really is a great truck.

Also, they look badass with spacers and JK Rubicon wheels, which I plan to do to ours:

Edit: I can't figure out how to resize, so here's a link.

What are your needs? You are 3 yrs into a like new truck that would be paid for in a year or 2. Why not keep it?

GC looks nice but they are SMALL inside imo. My mil just bought one and it's very nice.

I'm with Elle here, why not just keep what you have? You will have to pay it off one way or another to get rid of it so I don't see where a new truck lease would solve anything? If you don't need a truck as it would seem by your post, why are you looking at another truck?

If ya got 'em, smoke 'em. I'd be driving the wheels off that current truck you are paying on.

Keep the camaro & Silverado, buy a car trailer. Continue racing at Atco and Island with me. I know a guy with a similar setup and he is a happy guy.
