i found an ls1 ss with 154,000 miles on it for 4500..the car itself is in really good shape..i was thinking of it just as a dd, beater becuz of the miles...i know its alot of miles but is it beyond where an ls1 can still run good?

any engine that is cared for even a little can last a long time. my dad had a buick century for 470k and it still ran when it was donated to chairty.
i woudl say if it starts up good and has no clunks, rattles, or oil smoke you are in good shape. i wouldn't push it as a build up without freshening the engine and trans first, but for a cruiser or long term project i woudln't have a problem with it.
