Giants stadium autox 3/9

sunday, starting at 8. anyone into going? maybe make it an unofficial north meet? its a test & tune, so should be more relaxed and no one is worried about points and whatnot. cost went up $5 from last year, so $45 for non-members. but its a full day (weather depending), you meet decent people and have a good time. courses arent really bad for f-bodies. there was some talk of having our own sub-class if there are enough of us there, so we'd be competing with each other, so to speak.

lets see if anyone is into going. if they want, you can meet up at my house and go from there. im only 5min away, and you can set up your car, air up or down, clean out extra stuff that you dont want to race with, etc.

I am in, mailed my membership away today. Now I just gotta get the rear end back together, install my springs, bleed the brakes, mount/clearance my 17X11's with 315's, and mount my new seats.

Also renewed my SCCA membership for the Philly Region, looking forward to that as well.

sup echo - if you want all the f-bodies or NJFBOA members in the same run group, PM me and TIM to set it up in advance to get maximum participation (Friday event would be better). We can also get 20 guys to get Pocono east for a tuesday 3 hours of run time for $250 catered lunch, private instruction, etc.

its hard enough to get people to show up at a sunday race, let alone take the day/half day off for a friday run. as much as id like to go to a real course, esp. with other f-bodies, i doubt many people would show. theyre always during the middle of the week, staring very early. i think most of the reason people just stick to drag racing is because you can just show up at a track after work, (depending on # of people there) get a few runs in, and drive home. you dont have to make an entire day out of it. pocono is at least 2hrs from me. there are people down south jersey that are looking at a 4hr+ ride. all to start at 8am? to get up and leave by what, 4am, then drive 4hrs, then race, then drive 4hrs home? its alot for people to do. the only other way is to take the day before off, and get a room or something. thats all adding up to a shytload of money, plus the day of work youd lose. id love to make somethign like this happen, but i dont think many other people on the board have the dedication and especially the money for it. even i would have gone to pocono or lime rock already if it was just easier and more convienant.

either way, id like to see how many people can show up on 3/9. just for fun, its alot cheaper and you dont have to lose work to get here. after that, we'll see how much interest there is for taking it to the next level.

Is anyone signed up for 3/9 AutoX at Meadowlands?

If so, could somebody check the sign up list on the MSNE website? I signed up, but for some reason can't view the signup list. Not sure if it is a problem on my end or with their web service. Or maybe I got booted before it got processed?

All set for Sunday AutoX

Rear is back together, Strano springs installed, brakes are bled and are bedded in, 17X11's are clearanced, alignment complete. Tomorrow at Giants' stadium is a go. Can't wait. Still have to install the race seat, but for tomorrow I'll just use my other seats. Hopefully the weather dries up enough and the temps stay right where they are at.

The springs totally change the look of the car. Definitely a major improvement in the looks dept., tomorrow we'll find out how much in the functionality dept.

Thanks to 198esp1 for letting me use your spacers for fitments and helping with the frozen upper shock bolt and Vegaken for working the pedal helping me bleed the brakes in the rain.

I plan on running all of the Sunday events (as long as no conflicts with SCCA Philly region), Fridays are tough because of work. So, I will be there on the 16th.
