4th gen power window acting up

Hey guys suddenly my passanger side window is not operating correctly. when i switch it to go down it will somtimes roll all the way down no prob or will stop half way, then when go to roll it up it will go only alittle. if i hit the button again to go up it wont but, if i wait a couple of minutes and hit the button down then up it will go up alittle bit or all the way. it also dose this when it pleases. any ideas on this? it also is slow moving

Sytematic that your are on borrowed time....it only gets worse from there!
Already on #2 Driver side, and a very, very common, recurring problem.

Replacement time!

whats wierd is about a month ago, my drivers side window did the same thing. i would roll it down and it would go down fine, but when i would roll it up it would stop, then i'd wait and it would work again. this lasted for about 1-3 days then i never had a problem with it again...

Wroking for Chevy for a time, I saw this day in and day out. It's just the motor itself. There's nothing you can do to stop it. Everyone that your gonna throw in there is gonna do about the same. The only thing I can reccomend is to replace it with a factory one. It will last much longer than aftermarket ones.

yeah those window motors suck. My passengers one broke 5 minutes after I bought it and now my drivers one is on its way out.

I'm too damn lazy to replace my Passenger side one. It rolls down fine, but to go up, I must crawl over the console and open the passenger door, and rolling up so it goes up past the weatherstripping.

Add my car to the list. My Pass has been slow for years, but now the driver side moves 2 inches then stops. guess I need to order two myself.

Pretty easy. I know people that don't know much about cars that could swap one easily in a few hours.

See here: http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

ok heres the deal guys... i thought my window motor was acting but as it turns out the support for the regulator was not bolted to the door and the motor was basically supporting everything causing a huge strain on the motor. my window now goes up and down almost perfectly... i'm gonna replace the motor anyway so i dont have to keep taking everything off and on. (now i'm just waiting on my sister to bring me some dielectric grease from my house so i can finish it up tonight.)

ps- let me know if you want pics of what i'm talking about

Hmmm, never seen that one, unless someone already did it a while back, and didn't bolt it on right.
