Island 4/21

Decided to bring the Z28 down to see what it would run. Ended up bumping into a group of LS1 f-body guys/girls from the area.
Never had the car down the track prior to tonight, predicted 13.9 @ 99-100 MPH. Ended up having a best pass of 13.76 @ 100.14. Turned a 2.084 60'. As it got colder out the car had more trouble getting off the line and started turning consistent 13.8-13.9 passes. Ended the night after two 14 flat passes.

Turned 120,000 miles on a 13.8 pass. Mid length headers, no cat, magnaflow exhaust, moroso CAI, 4.56's or 4.10s and dry rotted 275 40 17 radials, full weight 4L60E.. Overall pleased with the outcome. I think on MT drag radials I can see 13.5 on a good pass.

Edit:
I wasn't sleeping at the light either. I was trying to figure out the best RPM to launch at (900 ended up being the best spot I'd hook... 1,100 blew 2.3 60' times)

I got about 12 runs in and I skipped out on at least 8 more runs. I stopped for an hour or so, plus a half hour cleanup on the track.

Surprisingly this was the least busy I have ever seen it down there. They ran the street tires with the slicks, mixed us all together. Seemed to go a hell of a lot smoother. Not to mention the only "bikes" were a drag busa and what I believe (from the smell) was a nitro meth drag sled.

I'll let ya know next time I go down. Think next week I'm going with my s10 if I get my nitrous permit from the state

Saw some damn good competition... high 12 second s10 should be fair for a 305 with a 150 shot lol

He ran 3 or 4 times and got fed up and stopped

Some girl had a LS1 T56 Z28 and ran 15's as well. It was her first time racing though and she wasn't capable of burning out (but yet she kept driving through the water box). She cut some solid 2.8 60's.
