NHRA @ E-Town

THIS weekend!

I haven't gone in the last few years and I definitely want to go this year. Anyone else going or thinking about going? I will be going on Sunday for the Finals, I hear the night sessions of qualifying are awesome on Friday but I cant afford to go more than one day!

I was gonna go for Friday night qualifying (yes, it is awesome), but don't have the extra cash to pick up a ticket. $37 to watch some qualifying is a little out of my price range.

Can't stand John Force!

Plus he is a cheater! Hieght had no business being in the top 10 to win the championship! If Force did not blow the race Hieght would not have been in the top ten. Tony Pedregon was right to call out Force on it last season.

If you're going to bash him, at least spell his name right! [[Robert Hight]]

Not sure how Saturdays are, I would think it isnt as crazy because its still qualifying. It is a great time, you can meet all the drivers, get autographs, spend a rediculous amount of money on food and souvenir's!! Its everything you see on TV but 100x better because you are there to see everything happen in front of you not just bits and pieces. Have fun.

Bring ear plugs and sunblock! Both are very expensive at the track!

If you're into getting autographs, carry a black sharpie on you. You never know where or when you may run into a driver, this way you can guarantee a signature!

The Pedregon's have a long history of bad attitudes, inpatients, and not treating their people good. How many crew chiefs has Tony gone through in the last year? 3? 4?

They're a team, and as such, they try and help each other. That's how every team operates. If you remember back in '07, Melanie Troxel was dominating Top Fuel for the first half of the season. Allen Johnson, crew chief for Tony Schumacher, went on national television and said that he had a long talk with Don Schumacher, the team owner, who also owned Melanie's team, and they agreed that Melanie would not be leading the points anymore and that Tony would take over. Low and behold, Melanie couldn't get a decent tune on her car for five or six races and Tony took over the points lead and went on to win the championship. Since Don Schumacher owned both cars, the orders were to pull Melanie back so Tony could take over. That interview only aired once needless to say.

Tony Pedragon was pissed at that race and called John Force out because with Robert Height winning that round and making it into the countdown, it bumped his brother, Cruz, out of the countdown.

Tony is a cry baby who deep down, regrets the day he left JFR. Money is money, no matter how it comes to you...

I'm sure Melanie Troxel cried all the way to the bank after her car "suddenly" stopped performing so well.

Not really, her sponsors pulled out and she lost her ride. She's an amazing driver and is struggling right now to get a full time sponsor again, and it's been three years. She's been running Pro Mod since then for Roger Burgess and has a partial limited schedule sponsorship deal with In-N-Out Burger for like 6 races this year in Funny Car.
