ls1 virgin

im new to the group....also new to hot rodding a computer car....i have built a few cars in the past but im lost when it comes to computer controlled cars...i got an 2001 ws6 auto....i want to put a stall in it to get it more in the powerband but i was told i need some kind of tuner or flashed to get it to work....can anybody lead me in the right direction...thanks

our sponsor ttp just put up a special for dyno tuning this month, they are also capable of doing the converter swap for you

Welcome to the club!

Well, you don't need tuning just to get the converter to work, but I would always recommend tuning to any car that has been modded at all. You should see a nice improvement with both a converter and a tune.

last time i checked you didnt need a tune for a stall converter

Partially true, it will work without a tune but you will see much bigger gains by having the Transmission program modified to work with the new stall.
