front end swap idea...

first off, ill admit it, im never satisfied....

ok i was thinking, how would a V2 front end, look on a V1, and im talkign about CTS-V's here.

I could make a 09+ V front end fit on my 05 V.. I know it isn't a direct bolt on which would be too easy lol, but with my level of ability and connections, i could definitely make it happen.

MINE NOW

09+ V front end...

09+ cts fenders are common since V and base are the same
09+ headlights are actually cheaper than my current ones which could use replacement
09+ V hood would cost less than a custom hood for my year(one for mine is 1200)
My front bumper could eventually use a respray so getting a different bumper isnt that much different.
I could sell off my stock front bumper, hood, lights easily for 1000+

...and on a final note... IF i did do the front end swap, that would mean my V would of course get the magnacharger, or even an LSA engine swap.

so am i completely crazy or can you agree with my thinking?...haha....

I love the idea I think it would be a great way to more or less "personalize" your vehicle

Paul, trade the V1 in on a V2.
25k will net you the front end you desire, a supercharger like you want, less fab work, AND a new toy to play with!!!

556/551...stock. But I don't think it'd be long before you swapped pullies or did heads/cam

Sounds like a lot of uniqueness for something that may or may not be pulled off successfully. Trouble is, you won't know how good it will look until you're deep in your pockets.

Recommend selling your V and buying a used V2.

yea, that kinda the issue.
as of now, the idea will be put on hold, however, if i ever *knock on wood* have a front end accident requiring work... id go ahead with the idea.

I think it would be like swapping a 4th gen trans am nose on a third gen Camaro. 2nd gen CTSs are wider and longer then the first gens.

Do the fender flares on the newer version stick out more than yours? It looks like it in the pictures. If so, the front fender flares will stick out more than the ones on the back of your car and might looks silly.
