Currently Active Users

What is the time limit from last activity for someone to show as "currently active"? It looks approximately 10 to 15 minutes, but I"m not sure, could be more. Could it be changed to like 5? It's annoying me to see someone listed as active, but then see their last activity was 15 minutes ago when I go to PM them.

It is 15 minutes, but it is not a value that I will drop any lower. The currently active user list is compiled from active session cookies. If I dropped the time down to 5 minutes, users would be logged out if they didn't click on something every five minutes. I already tried to find a way to modify that, haven't had any luck.
