You know best..
Would you care to bestow any further automotive knowledge upon me? Or will I go around the rest of my life never knowing everything there is to know about cars like you do?

Thats why they give you a shifter ( ever notice the "1 & 2" on the shifter plate ?? ) The car should shift the same .The same process take place in the trans . Only difference should be when it shifts . THIS STARTED AFTER THE TUNE .

like said before those gears arent there to shift it...theyre meant for situational use only for when you need the extra rpms in a desired gear. if it was designed to be shifted it would have come with paddle shifters or a little side slot for (+/-) shift.

you should listen to josh....something bout him tells me he knows what he's talking about....and its not the amsoil...

eh, if you really want to shift an auto, have it built for it. its plenty possible, i just wouldn't trust it in stock form. sounds like an issue with the tune though especially if you didn't have the problem before.

Hmm Sounds like the clutches are starting to go. Those tranny's arent real strong and if you shift them like a MVB it can only end with them blowing up. Pretty soon you start to see when your drive when you take hit into High RPM's it wont shift either. I would start looking into a new tranny , and since you like shifting it yourself, Look into a Manuel Valve Body

Have you just been upshifting your automatic or have you also been downshifting it manually?

Bear in mind that if factory automatics were meant to be driven this way then things like AutoStick, TipTronic, and paddle shifted automatics would never have been needed.

There was nothing negative. Everyone is just telling you how these transmissions were designed to operate. If you want to operate them in a fashon that is outside the original design you have to modify the trans to do what you want or longevity will suffer.. You were the one that had to come back with the know-it-all stuff.
