Anti-Bling

I decided to black out and clean up as much as I could under the hood, so this will be an on going project. So far, the battery is relocated to the trunk. The passenger side wire harness over the fender has been routed under the fender. The traction control has been relocated behind the pcm. I blacked out the Coil Packs, bumper support, washer fluid tank, backside of headlights, and the mezeire is already black.

Still on the list:
Black out TB
relocate driver fender wires
repaint lid black w/ pewter stripes
paint STB or trade for black?
black out tensioner
cover pcm & abs

And finally, todays project...sandblasted valve covers for prep. Aluminum foil ftw.

I got the covers back on the car, but its too dark for good pics...to be continued...

valve covers are back on, and the tensioner has been sand blasted and ready for paint whenever it stops raining.

The Tech has everything in the appearance hall of fame sticky.
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/appear...tion-pics.html

but its as easy as just stuffing it behind the pcm, and adding 1.5' of wire to the harness. should take about a half hour.

Stuff it behind the pcm. Its a lot less hassle than deleting it.

The valve covers and tensioner will be painted when I have free time and its not raining.

I also found a good link to relocating the evap away from the driverside valve cover...adding it to the list.

links dead

my plan is to move the pcm into the car (glovebox) and that would open up a ton of space if i wanted to move it somewhere

Well, I only have 2 weeks left in school, so Im going to make one in the next few days. Engineering major comes with the perk of a full machine shop, and I can get raw aluminum from fazzios in south jersey.

I planned on mocking up a plate with a piece of paper, then making a drawing in AutoCAD. From there I can water jet out the piece, sand blast it, then get the same paint job as the valve covers. maybe make myself a decal to jazz it up.

I appreciate the offer though

I actually wanted to clear coat it, but no such thing as high temp clear coat at home depot. I think it came out better in the flat anyway, since the intake is more flat black than gloss. A matching flat black head plate will look unique.
