plastidip adventure lots-o-pics

i really was getting bored with the look of my car. ive been wanting new rims for a while i think im set on chrome but funds arent there for a new set. so ive gone to plasti dip. its cheap reversible and semi durable. me and my friend did my rims in black and it changed the whole look of the car. honestly i kinda like it, but im to scared to paint the 10 spokes permanently. the thing that turns me off about the black is, i feel it no longer "classy" my car is now a young immature kids car. maybe im nuts but i feel like i would get stereotyped and possibly more crap from cops. sorry for the sappy story, heres some pics

yes the playing card was totally reusable, just didnt take the time to peal each one individually

I get what you mean about the "kids" car. However, with that said, I think it came out really well and I'm loving this shot:

Make sure to submit it for COTM at some point.

How long can you expect the rims to hold up with that paint?

Im never a fan of a fully blacked out rims, just no break from rim to tire but its not all that bad on your ride.

looks great, it almost looks like a matte black, if it had been gloss i think it wouldn't have came out as good as it did.

it is matte. at the time there was no tire shine on it, with the tire shine it makes it look that much better. i think gloss wouldve looked great.

all in all im very happy with the outcome, im surprised as many of you are too. thanks for the complements

would rather see a silver lip on it...its breaks up the rim to tire blackness. id say go back to stock or do the silver lip.. never been a huge fan of the all blackout out rim look. regardless, u did a nice job on it.

that came out awesome man. alot of the audi guys do it under the hood, to make the black stuff look blacker/cleaner. and completely reversable. cant wait to try it on something on my car
