please tell me this was a new part and not something you recycled from another build. at least if it was new you could go after the manufacturer for the motor, since their part failed due to manufacturing defect (or something). they will probably claim limited liability, but you can at least salvage part of what you've got in the motor.

it sounds like you know what you are doing, so i wouldn't think you did something wrong and created this situation. of course, i have been wrong before.

nope... not used or recycled part. it was brand new. i ordered it cause it was the one that professional products recommend to use with their intak/f-rail system. its in the friggin instructions!!!!! so in my eyes they are screwed & are going to have to pay cause i ordered the regulator that they recommended & sell for this application.. if i had used a aeromotive one like i was gonna purchase this would have never happened !

lesson learned though, doesn't matter who's boost referenced fpr you use.... i will from now on install a 1way check valve in the boost ref. line to intake, so that if this does happen again, fuel will not enter the engine. (it might burst the line & catch the car on fire, but least the insurance will pay for that one !!!!)

That really sucks. They probably wont do much for you because it is a high performance build but that is ********.

but he has nothing to lose if he does try to get them to reimburse... if he does nothing, then that's exactly what he will end up with.

This thread should probably get deleted. I have 2 friends in south jersey that deal with cartek both 9 sec cars tuned by them. Actually one is an all motor ls7 that was built by cartek featured in gm hightech. I have heard nothing but good things about them and none of these "horror stories". Many of you guys seem pretty biased. Oh yes it was definately his injector cycle of 85% that blew it up LOL

Why? First of all who cares, second of all it is clear to anyone who can read above a 5th grade level that cartek did absolutely nothing wrong here, and finally some of the comments are a really good way to learn who not to take tech advice from. Besides I have heard heard good and very bad about them. So it stands.

4 threads on the same engine project all on the same page was irritating, so now they are one long thread

this is a pic of my stock ls1 rod that snapped when mine hydrolocked. you can see it tried from the way it first twisted before it snapped. pretty strong parts all-in-all even stock.

The rod bolts are said to be the weaker parts(hence why i have arp ones now)

roots style blower is the way to go. self sealed lubricating system and power on demand....just keep the boost gauge under 0 and youll get regular gas mileage
