In that case I would go bigger than the torquer cam. The tsp 233/239 would have a good mid to upper rpm range and the split would benefit nitrous. The lift and duration on that cam is not radical so you would also be able to deck the heads and run thinner gaskets to gain a bit more power. This is not to say you should be stuck to tsp's cams, but an example of the size I think you should look at.
EPS came out with a line of new cams that seem to be performing well, so you could check them out too. If you're still lost on what cam to pick, you can always contact Patrick G on tech - he charges $25 to spec a custom cam, but it would be exactly to your intended setup and preferences.
I think you should look at a stall built to handle the power you want to throw at it. A hand grenade would be cheaper and more fun than an off-the-shelf fuddle. Talk to some venders like circle d, yank, or precision industries on their stall recommendations - they will give you the best answer, and then go from there.
Its easy to make power, but if your looking for track times you should also start to budget out proper suspension mods, and wheel/tire setup.
