More jobs need to be like mine. You go to work and you punch in and are there for your shift. You bring lunch or eat in the cafeteria. You punch out when you leave. If you leave early you are docked. You are not in anyone's way when they are on their free time. No scam working from home, or having comp time, or sitting with a laptop at Loiterbucks and calling it being at work.

No every job is like yours where they HAVE to be at work. Allowing people that don't need to be there, to work at home or from a remote location, is a great perk to attract people. I was able to work from home from my last position, it was great. I didn't have to go out when it was snowing, meaning I got to drive my car less in the snow and salt.

If people kept their asses at home and worked it would be OK. But they shove a Bluetooth in their ear or take a laptop with them and go out and get in the way of people who legitimately have the right to be out taking car of business. They was a guy "working" at Mavis the other day giving my friend a hard time about the length of time the work on his car was taking. I pointed out if he had a real job he wouldn't even be able to be getting his car serviced on company time. That shut him up quick.

You should have just argued with him about the North/Central Jersey split. Or just talk over him if he was on the phone

There are lots of jobs that require people to be on the road so I don't get what the **** you are complaining about.

I've been on my job 29 years and have worked 3-11 a good majority of that time. It used to be I had a pretty straight shot going to work at 1:30 and coming home at 11. Now I'm hitting all kinds of traffic coming and going and can't even make my rounds without having to deal with crowds. That's what I'm bitching about. I've seen a good thing get all ****ed up. And that's why I want to get out of this ****ing state.

If I remember correctly, didn't the closing of the Pulaski Skyway create problems for your drive?

Hell Yeah! Now you are pretty much forced to take the toll roads and it's a crap shoot if there is going to be traffic or not, plus having to pay the outrageous tolls.

I work 2 to 10pm and i hit rush "hour" both ways. The 3 or 4 days I work overtime till 6am is fun, cause then I hit that rush hour. Its nice when my commute doubles and I only have 8 hours to drive home, shower, sleep and drive right back.

Its like everyone is on their sunday drive every day in this state now. I wonder why I constantly have to beep at people to turn right on red. Mostly cause they are too busy looking at their phones.

Well brother, if this was 1993 or so your hours would be golden. But nowadays you are ****ed in the state that just wants to keep packing in more and more people.

NJ pop grew 1.7% since 2010.

Towards the bottom of the list for state growths.

I saw the number at 1.89%. 35th of all states. And since we ain't the size of Texas that 1.89 stands much bigger then it seems.

I'm assuming that is the official number. I'm guessing it's higher than that if you look at all of the sanctuary cities.

Exactly, in the state with the highest density population 1.89%, or what ever the real number may be, has way more impact than the larger states

I just came back from a road trip down through Virginia/Tennessee/North Carolina and I can safely say that I am going to start planning on moving out of the state... Hopefully within 5 years but 10 would be more likely
