the road course has a track day the same day, if anyone is interested in stopping by. find out that there is more to racing then just stab & steer in a straight line.

I was eliminated in round #2 because I had 0 traction lol However, the time trials they ran too, took over 3 hours for 1 round! Stupid Civics kept breaking!! I ran round 1 at 3pm, and round 2 at 7:45.... got too cold and my tires didnt hook...

But.... Stupid stupid stupid Civics gambling teams broke out into not 1, but 3 friggin fights... 2 being like brawls.... Which held up soooo much time. Morons even broke out into punching fights under the tower, not just in the lanes.... I have a few pics of that. We witnessed 1 guy getting clocked right in the face... He was bloody afterwards. But no arrests, no real cops. Nothing.

But it was a HUGE turn out. The track was def not prepared for this turn out. It was so confusing... We didnt even know until 2pm what lanes we were in. Tech said they didnt even know where to put us. Wish my tires would hook because sooooo many people left early because of the wait... before round 2, about half had already dropped out.... Would have been great! Oh wells....

I think one of the track officials said it was the WORST Test & Tune in the history of the event. No Old Bridge cops were called and the two "Raceway Park" security cars and personal did nothing but lean against their vehicles and watch. Track grip went into the toilet as night came and it seemed like NOBODY in charge seemed to know what to do with the "Import Crowd". I won my class, but I found out early it was best to walk it out of hole and then get on it.

Plus they gave out NO goodie bags/ NO dash plaques and HPP magazine was NOT even there and SLP had 1 car on display. It was like this show was an after thought. Even the awards were the same cheap crap crossed flag plaques that I have from shows 4 and 5 years ago. For an event that has been put on for 29 years, it seems to get worse every year.

I have a stack of those stupid things.

The event has had the misfortune of changing dates, and having crazy weather for several years now. I think those two factors have really been killing it.

It has been a long time since the car show area was full.

As Firebirdcrazy said the "judging" in recent years can also leave alot to be desired.
