But, that doesn't mean we can't do some unofficial wing-eating/summer-cruising off the books! You twist Don's arm, and get your brother to come, I'll handle the other North schmucks I know!
mike my car is sitting in my driveway too i will get don my bro and a few more people to come too i will probably have my car done and at the meet too

Weld the exhaust up.
Wiper assembly.
Possibly change oil pan gasket
Weld in floors then subframe connectors.
Swap 4channel ABS block to 3channel & rebleed.
Install "Chris1313RA" Ram Air.
Throw the heat-shields back on.
Have it painted.
Install body panels.
Reinstall interior.

...I would like to change the v6 evap box and install my v8 one in, so I can run my AC. As well as swap out my valve covers to the new ones that I polished, and purchase/install some nice, shiny Stainless Steel headers. However, we'll see if I get there or not. I tend to get side-tracked with these "While I'm at it" things.

I really DO need to host a get-together one weekend afternoon and make the final push this things needs to be street reliable. Time sucks, though.

No, I don't want you breaking another transmission.

------

So, a small quandary. The chassis is a '95 V6, the motor/trans are a 2000 LS1/4L60e. The transmission crossmember is from neither.

The problem I encountered today was that I noticed, when putting the poly trans bushing on, that the center hole in the transmission cross-member is roughly 1-inch closer to the nose of the car than the center hole of the bushing. Does anyone have any experience, or links to any bookmarked resources, that deal with this quandary?

I've temporarily settled on throwing the beat-up stock rubber piece back on, and sliding it forward to align with the hole. However, the bottom half of the bushing is obviously not in alignment with the top half, and their respective recesses. I'm not sure how this will actually do when put to the test (if that day ever comes ) but I'd like a better designed solution.

I'll be home soon. Organize something on a Sunday and I'll come by to set things on fire. Rob can attest to that

There is a deadline here so fabrication is not plausible.

There is not enough available space on the crossmember (Need at least 1 more inch of room) to drill a new hole. I will look into the aftermarket, or fabricating one if need be.

I need a lift. This driveway stuff is beat. Countdown to Graziville Invasion has begun.
