I think it actually snowed every week and sometimes twice a week that winter.

Um, its a plow truck. There is no slushy/snow covered streets behind the plow

The town I work for lost four out of the five dump trucks last storm... I destroyed the synchros for 1st gear (5 speed with a splitter), one truck had the clutch explode from pushing snow back, one tore his plow and pto off the truck and one had the main hydraulic line explode. Oh and the part time guy managed to snap the shifter in half on the 2011 F450 mason dump... We covered 46 miles of road (one way/92 both) with a pickup truck and one dump truck lol.
Our roads suck to plow. A lot of the roads are built between hills and don't have lines on the roads.

For those of you old enough to remember the back to back blizzards of 1978 where we got 2' in a single day and 2 days later another 18". Those were the days!

This year so far is competent amateur - hope I didn't jinx us.

I do a little, I was 8. The snow was too deep for me to go down the street to my friends house!

Yup, I couldn't even play outside because it was deeper than me. Also remember my dad breaking his thumb on the steering wheel of his truck. Slid on ice and the steering wheel spun and broke his thumb near his wrist.

As I said in another thread, my DD 2002 Grand Prix had the lower valance front passenger nose ripped out due to a piece of snow ICE that stuck out just enough from the end of my driveway. The opening now is just down to the width of the car if you pull straight in and God help you if you swing out a little too wide. You can't even move this crap unless you shovel the hell out of it when it first comes down, because it freezes at night and becomes a CONCRETE BRICK. I have become a miserable crabby bastard that has a case of cabin fever so bad I want to move out of here to anyplace, but can't because the entire country if covered in this waste. LONG LIVE GLOBAL WARMING, yeah like it will be 100*+ this summer!

I wouldn't be so grumpy about the whole snow thing if I:

A. Wasn't out of places to put it with the plow
B. Had a nice big snowblower to toss it into the woods
C. Didn't wreck my back getting my plowing ATV out of being stuck in 20+" of snow
D. All of the above.

I was just hating on the snow because my trailer, parts car, scrap metal and construction debris have all been buried under feet of snow. The truck is dug out, the trailer...well it can finally be pulled out so I can clear off the 93 z28. My massive scrap metal pile, along with a sbc 350, are still somewhere under the drifts though. And finally getting a dumpster delivered so I can empty my truck out and finish this dam reno.

Snow isnt a issue with me. Only thing I am fed up with is the potholes. (Not mad at the city because they have been tryig to keep up). If I dont need ball joints after this winter it will be a miracle.

I can't stand people who drive 20 under the limit in a fwd car when you can clearly see the blacktop.
