Frustrating

I ran at atco last week got two runs with MTs. A best of a 12.8 at 106. Ran again tonight the first run i ran a 12.9 at 105. Not bad considering it was hot and the sun was still out. The last 3 times I ran a 13.044 at 104. All of them consistent with nice 1.8 60s just seems slow compared to what i have ran and the mods my car has. My Trans is shifting so weird and got worse as the night went on. It lags the shift from 2-3. It will shoot past redline to about 6500 and bounce off the rev limiter for easily a tenth or two and then shift. Some times it also likes to upshift down shift upshift. So on one of the runs i tried to manual shift 2-3. That made it worse ended up having the problem from 1-2 and 2-3.
Any ideas my guess is electrical problem and the shifting point is off. Im not running again until i buy hp tuners hopefully this week. Sorry for the rant just annoying cause it doesnt seem to be a problem on the street. I hope my trans isnt going

Yea im sure it prob did. The shifting problem is really killing my time. I was runnig 13.09 on street tires with a 60 foot of a 2.0. I could only ease into the pedal. Now im launching at 1200 and getting a little better.

Have you tried bringing the car up on the converter before you launch it, or have you always launched it off idle (or just above idle)?

ive been launching it at 1200 to 2k. I was gonna try higher but going from 1200 to 2k it got slower. I think i figured out my problem. I think car hasnt been tuned for the converter and gears. So once i get hp tuners we shall see

Yea, that will surely help. Play around with the launch more too. Try loading the converter up, try flashing the converter from idle, and different spots in between, then stick with whatever seems to be working the best.

thats why i was stickin with 1200. when i tried 3k the spun and has some wheel hop. I dont think i got a good burn out and they were brand new first time on the car. So maybe ill try that again. I beat a 12.67 C5 z06 until the 1000 foot. Thats were my car is having its shifting problems.

You probably have a few problems but atleast they are tunning issues..
1. a 4L60E will not shift into 4th gear at w.o.t.
2. Torque management program.. delete it and the car will feel like a new beast..
3. a few other tuning issues due to the converter and ect but it can be corrected..

His problem is the 2-3 shift, not 3-4....

Yes that also falls into where I mentioned Torque Management programing..
If I remember correctly there is different tables for it 1-2, 2-3
And it can force a downshift besides cutting back timing and fuel to the engine..
I would definitely find someone that can tune automatics good..

I think my major problem is not having the car tuned for gears. So hopefully when i buy hp tuners and calibrate the VSS everything else will be fine.
