Ran the Z last night...

I wasnt going to, but couldnt resist.. had a hard time getting it to go anywhere off the line at first because of roughtly a 30-40º track temp (not proven, didnt chekc.. but there was ice in the pits) and terrible off brand tires.. i finally dropped the air in them and came up with a 13.43@105.73.. hows this compare with most ls1s? this is a bone stock 02 z, 6 speed, no lid or anything, flowmaster muffler is all it came with, which ive heard is actually restrictive?

Good stuff sis!! Now, lets start robbing banks so you can get the some LT's, a good exhaust, short throw, lid, get it tuned....
I think even with minor things, 12's wouldnt be that far off.

i did 13.56 at 104 when i was stock

the flowmaster is still less restrictive than the stock exhaust, just not nearly as good as the other aftermarket mufflers

nice runs dood! for comparison sake my car ran 13.2 at 109 with a lid/catback with alot of weight in the car. that was at atco 60'ing to a 2.20 and spinning the even numbered gears. i think you're car is running great and come a better track day you'll see those numbers drop. LS1 FTW!

no offense matt, but run has been around ls1 fbodies a little longer then you have, i think thats what hes alluding too. he can outdrive me anyday and i have no problem admitting that. it doesn't make me any less of a man. heck, i'm sure the majority of the people on this board could get better times out of my car then i can. but i don't mind. i enjoy doing what i can and having fun. melissa's car is a runner, thats for sure. i'm proud and happy for her and i can't wait till she hits the modding bug

i really don't see how letting you drive/break someone else's car makes it any faster. lol
i woudl take a hydraulic clutch over any of the mechanical set ups. you can have a much stronger holding clutch without having to be a body builder to push the peddle down like in the old days. lol
