New times in the T/A

Mods:
moroso cold air
air foil in the tb
pacesetter long tube headers
catco 3 inch high flow cats
magnaflow cat back
LT4 knock modules
1.6 roller rockers
mild port work to the heads - pretty much just cleaned up
QA1 14 way rear shocks
3.5 inch aluminum d/s
Hotchkis pan hard rod
35 mm front sway bar

Car has 2:73's

280 rwhp
303 rwtq

Temp was low 70's and humid as hell!!!! It rained really hard last night into this morning. Today it kinda dried out but was very overcast and humid. About 30 min after we left the track, it rained.

r/t......1.071 <--- rusty as hell!
60......2.060
330....5.888
1/8....8.984
mph...79.84
1000..11.611
1/4....13.839
mph...102.17 <--- new best

I noticed the car kinda dropped in power in the upper rpm's just once and it was slight.... but I noticed it. I launched at about 1200 rpm's

3/4 tank of gas, temp was just under 210 degrees, front and rear tire psi was 36, rear adj shocks left at setting #6

I have never done this before, but I went ahead and raced the car exactly how it is on the street. Sure, I could have let the car cool down longer, raised the front tire psi, lowered the rear tire psi, and adjusted the rear shocks..... but I want to try a real street form approach with the T/A.... the v6 was 1/4 mile only

r/t......0.625
60......2.087
330....5.920
1/8....9.017
mph...79.86
1000..11.639
1/4....13.873
mph...100.85

I took a little break - car was still around 200 when I rolled up to the line. Again, 1200 rpm launch, tire psi untouched, suspension untouched.

r/t......1.233 <--- der
60......2.532
330....8.281
1/8....14.075
mph...42.27
1000..18.991
1/4....23.037
mph...57.28

I'm such a newb! I went ahead and didn't look at the tree. I went ahead and tried for a 1600-1700 rpm launch.... and as I was sitting there stalling the converter... I hit the gas too hard and began spinning the tires. Light went green, I floored it and just burned the tires all through first gear, I let off near 2nd gear hoping for traction, almost had it and then layed into it again which just melted the tires through 2nd gear. I then gave up. That was such a newb mistake!

The exhaust is still hitting the floor which may cause false knock.

I have also been having the check engine light come up intermittently for P0133 and P0153 (O2 sensor circuit slow response)

That's not bad at all with the 2:73s! Look for a rear with 3:42s, shouldn't hurt MPG and you'll drop .4 -.5 off ET.
