Looks like a great start to a project. My 48 F1 has fallen by the wayside for a bit but I'm hoping to get back to it soon.

Are you keeping all the sheetmetal on the front end? In hindsight I would have rather gone with a 30's model myself....the chop is so much easier than the one on my truck.

Mock up of the stake pockets and tailgate hinge panel.

Final assembly "up".

Havent updated in a few weeks. Not much progress. A lot of little things to make the big picture come together.

Final resting place for the voltage regulator.

Coil mounted. Made and routed the plug wires.

Filled the door with most of its guts. Lent out my window tracks so I havent put the glass in yet,. but its all ready for it now.

Stainless bolt kit for the cabs. Removed the Fuel pump just to make sure it functioned (only because I got the motor in unknown condition). Cleaned and polished the pump. And finalized most of the carb linkage.

Last I started routing the copper lines for the carbs. This is only a mock up to see if I could get the bends tight enough and to see if the routing I have in my head is physically possible. Hopefully Ill finish up the lines soon.

After the fuel lines are plumbed the majority of the other parts I need to get it fired should be here and hopefully Ill have a video of a running motor soon Woo!

Sunny, my girlfriend helped me finish making the copper Lines from the tank to the fuel pump! She did an excellent job! After one lesson on how to dbl flare and one lesson on how to use a tube bender, she was making a line with compound bends! Hot rodder in the making.

Copper or alumium fuel lines

Looks good! But isn't copper for fuel lines a big no-no (unless its copper nickel)?

ADMIN EDIT: Off topic conversation moved from project area by BonzoHansen

Haven't touched the truck in a while. I've been gathering parts and trying to find time for a life. But here's what I've got so far.

Finished the fuel system.

got my hands on a set of extremely rare heads that match my intake manifold.

Purchased all the components I need to wrap up the brake system.

Purchased door latches and dove tails. Hood hinge and mounts. Hood hold downs. And I'm in the process of making a set of stand offs, because the hood latches were made for a full fender car.

Hood mock up.

Also clearances the exhausted to clear the steering box.
