12 Bolt Moser

Hey Just got the 12 bolt moser put in with the Spohn Adjustable torque arm.

Just seeing who else went with this rear and what they have to say about, how did it sound when it first went on, how many miles and how did you break it. Still making lots of noises, what kinds?

Thanks,

Sam

most people open it up to make sure the gears are correctly aligned and tightened to avoid weakness and gear whine. moser has a specific break in as well i dont know off the top of my head

One other thing to watch with the moser rear is the torque arm mount. The 4 mounting bolts are notorious for coming loose. It is almost a maintenance type of thing you should get used to. I check mine every oil change and the do tend to need a little bit every now and then. You could use blue locktite to help keep them from backing out. That's my only "negative" with my moser rear. Other than that, I don't even know its there and that's a good thing.

Nice, I am on the fence as to 12bolt or 9" in the spring... I like 12 cuz I can keep my ABS (what can I say, it's a daily driver...), cheaper, less hp loss, and I don't see myself pushing the limits of it anytime soon Let us know how it is in a few weeks.

i have the moser on mine,i run the pro gear and an adjustable arm. i have had no probs for two race seasons and over 300 runs. the gears have always made a little noise. and so far no loose bolts, but i also only use it on the track not the street. good luck with yours.

Thanks. It seems to be a great Rear.. But some little things I have to check on, like it makes a weird noise now when I shift from 1st to second, hard to describe, just doesn't sound right. And there might be a little tapping sound but hard to tell cause my car is WAY TOO LOUD.

Hey Frank, your Kooks/Borla set up has the ORY right? Does your exhaust sound like a hollow tinny sound? Mine does, drives me nuts, I think I am going to go with the Y pipe with Cats, this set up doesnt sound deep enough.

Local guy is selling corsa with premium tips for about 450 if you'd be interested in changing... I know for a fact that should sound a little deeper
