If you are referring to my post, that's not what I meant. C-Clip eliminators (as I'm sure you know) are used as a secondary form of axle retention in case you break an axle shaft. In his case it's a good idea to think about a set- or 9" housing ends. Disc brake calipers can hold an axle in but not in every case.

i see what you mean now, you mean because of this comon problem c-clip eliminators were developed.

while it would of helped....there was no way I was going to drive home on a broken axle and tear up what was left of the 10 bolt just to save a tow truck ride. THe caliper held it in and I was able to do a u turn with it after I was dropped off the truck and drove it right into the garage.

Yup.

NETS, I didn't mean you would actually drive on it. Far from it. I meant that since you snapped one 10 bolt axle shaft I'm sure you can snap another.

$65 hook up = $4.00 per mile $50 out of area fee...so that about $300...just an option lol

Well I put 4.10s in it last night...got the ls1 axles so I got tcs and abs back....took it to the track tonight...and wore some holes in the carrier....new carrier goes in tomorrow....then ordering a 9in sooner or later.
