When I close my Door My Hatch Pops ... WTF ?!?!!?!?!?!

I just bought a 95 TA. And I noticed i have a slight problem. Whenever i Close the Damn Door the Hatch Pops. I know its Electrical because When I Disconected the Battery to Rebuild My Top end it never Had the Problem. Im not in a Hurry to Gett it Fixed. Its a Gradual Work in Progress. But lets see how smart you guys are im not big into elciectrical nor did i really look this up. So lets see what you guys have to say and how to fix the problem. Thanks alot

Its probably the release button. These are somewhat prone to failure. The contacts in the switch inside the release corrode and stop working.
