you got to think of the things you can't see in the photo's like..... the frame of the body, and if he did hit a curb the suspension work that has to be done

and to remember that some people just pay to get their cars fixed...... labor at a shop can add up faster

The frame would probably be fine. The rocker panel and floor pans might have seen some action. Not to mention anything else under the car that got scraped along.
