ls1 to LQ9

well im just about to buy the new motor for my car as soon as my credit card limit bump gets confirmed.
im going to be swapping the blown ls1 out for a low mile LQ9

i know im going to have to swap the oil pan/sump intake manifold and front drive compontents tothe new motor is there anything else that im going to need for this swap? if it matters its a 2003 LQ9

don't know for sure, but I'd do some homework on where the knock sensors are located, possibly need some extension harnesses? Yours are located in the valley, but they may be down on the outside of the block on the LQ9????

check on ls1tech, its probably been stickied somewhere....

If the LQ9 is an iron block, you'll be adding somewhere around 160lbs to the car's front. You'll want to factor that into your suspension config, eg. springs and swaybar.

When I went the other direction from an iron block to an LS1, my nose ended up nearly a full inch higher.
