Another year of racing and car shows is drawing to an end. The silly season of auto racing around the world has started and it has begun with in the NJFBOA as well. We would like to share some of the things we are looking forward to as we cap off 2007 and look forward to 2008.
One of the first things we need to share is that there will be some site down time on Thursday, November 1st. With so many members and such an active site, we feel it is important to keep up to date on the latest security features to help protect every members personal information. The down time will only last about three hours during the evening while we upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin, add some new registration security features, and make sure that all of the software modifications are running properly. Expect the site to go down around 6:00 pm and be back some time between 9:00 and 10:00 pm.
The October Monthly Meet was a great success considering the rainy weather. The crowd shrank a bit from the sunshine soaked meet in the south last month. Bennigan's in Saddle Brook hosted the members that decided to brave the weather for a good meal and lots of laughs.
There were some announcements made at the October Monthly Meet that we would like to share with everyone. The first piece of news was that we are not planning to hold any official club meets for November and December. With the holidays approaching we feel it is best to not try to fight to look for a time to get together in between all of the family and holiday functions that happen this time of year.
We have started discussion and planning for the 2008 NJFBOA Monthly Meet Season. Some of the changes we are planning include the addition of several charity related opportunities (including a blood drive), adjusting the rotation of the meets to better align with related events and better weather, and adding a few new locations to the calendar. Another major development has been a series of companies signing on to become NJFBOA Supporting Sponsors. Alex Quiles Photography has decided to continue the relationship he has with the club by extending his sponsorship through December of 2008. Alex's photographic skills are well documented in the Multimedia Forum and many of his snapshots will be featured in our upcoming 2008 NJFBOA Member Calendar. Alex has even recently added to his already impressive list of photographic services by adding models to the mix.
Also extending his relationship with the NJFBOA is JS Performance. Josh has been a great help to members both on and off the forums. Answering technical questions, offering tips, and providing the parts and services to help you improve your car. After the October Monthly Meet we also received news that TT Performance Parts in Passaic would like to renew their relationship with the NJFBOA. TTP has been going through some changes over the past year and has emerged as a one stop shop for all your performance needs. With services ranging from bolt ons and dyno tunes, to bending up custom exhaust systems, to doing custom alignments for lowered and race prepped vehicles, all the way to fabricating and installing custom roll bars and cages. TTP has really stepped up their game and we are glad to have them back on board with the club.

We are looking to make a lot of improvements to the forums and everything else the NJFBOA has to offer over the next few months.
