4th gen hatch being difficult?

Hey any of you 4th gens having an issue with the rear hatch popping but not opening when you hit the button? On mine I'll hit the hatch release on the keys or in the car and usually I'll have to hit it a second time before the hatch can be opened up, anyone know if there's like a spring or something that I can replace to fix this?

you can buy a universal style spring at lowes or home depot. you then add that onto the stock spring to assist it. works perfect then.

you can find all the install info and possibly the spring part number or description on ls1 tech, or a similar site.
