coolant temp sensor

Hey guys the block i picked up was used from 69-80 and my temp sensor that was on my 86 block is smaller then the hole on my new block so if i go get one to fit that black will the connector be the same? thanks

Temp sensors go in the heads and intake on thirdgens. You sure you aren't looking at another sensor?

Yes, an old sending unit will work. I did a 1974 350 block into my 84 305 and had to swap sending units.

If you are doing the same just remember the oil dipstick on on the driver side. On the 84 the stock exhaust manifold to the Y-pipe flang is right where the dipstick goes. I had to use Edelbrock shortie headers to clear the Dipstick.
