Opti spark went??

The opti spark went on the 93 TA today on the wayt to work at 75mph. GM wants $600 for it but i see in summit the want like $392 for a GM performance one. Anyone kno any good opti sparks, and plugs n wires? Might as well do them all at once

If you want a used one I've got the one off my car ( switched to a vented set-up for the double roller timing chain and elec. water pump.)

It had at most 35K on it when I pulled it last year.

I'll sell it to you cheap! and can bring it to Ewing NJ next week.

I did my opti about 6 months ago. I went with a GM one, Taylor High Performance Wires and Bosch Platinum Plugs. The car now runs perfect.

Are you going to be doing the work yourself?

If you are, check the status of your timing cover. If its leaking oil you might wanna change that out since you have to take off all the same crap anyway. Also, depending on the age of your waterpump, you might wanna do that too.

Jason Cromer: 877-726-8295

I believe a non-vented opti is about $320 and a vented opti is about $240 now.

Not sure what to tell you, but I'll throw out a few ideas?

Does the engine try to start? does it seem to be firing at all?

How are you checking for fuel? Plugs wet? Reason I ask is because some times when the ign. modules go bad the injectors will one-palse. If you hook a noid light up and crank the engine over you'll see the light blink once then nothing!

What about fuel pressure? Did you check the pressure at the valve?

Early LT1s had weak coils? Maybe the coil isn't putting out enough volts to ignite? My 93 was running fine, going down the road and it just died. turned out the coil went.

Wats the Memcaol? Yea my boss tried all that. mFuel pressure is 48 lbs or watever, n have spark. thought myb i junmped timing but didnt. Light blinks n evereything. plugs arent wet tho. injectors fire but plkugs arent wet. Like the r not dumping enoubghh fuel. ?My boss says the injectors r perfectly fine tho. I really want to kick the kid that i bought the caR FROM I9N THE BALLS.
