Stupid question....but help me out

Alright when i picked up my 3.27 the owner took the fluid out to show me the gears. Now i was ganna put some fluid in it just until i get it on the car so everything stays lubed while in the garage. Now i didn't realize this but there was a tag on the rear that say something like limited slip fluid only(i can't remember what it says exactly but along the lines of that.)Can i get that at any auto parts place? What type of fluid should i put into it when i get it on the car? weight wise
OH and another thing....anybody know of a shop that will do the rear swap or should i just do it on my own?

Use a good synthetic gear oil. Some even have an additive that replace "friction modifier". It's pricey, but well worth it. 75/90 should be fine as far as weight goes. Call Hall's Gulf at 732-657-0921 and ask for Bryant. He may be able to do the swap for you and save you some money ( as opposed to a regular shop). He's an excellent mechanic and the only person I let touch my baby.

i only use the GM posi additive they sell at the dealership. Its like 5-7 bucks a container (bout the size of a cough medacine bottle).

I forget the weight of the gear oil i use, i wanna say 90 weight cause thats the number i get in my head. not sure though.
