96 Z28 and 93 Z28 rear

does anyone know the difference (if any) between the 96 Z28 rear and the 93 Z28 rear. The sensor on top of the pumpkin is a little different. I'm thinking possibly an added sensor in the 96 for traction control? Or possibly ABS? But i believe both cars had abs. What else could the sensor be for.

well my SS rear had one sensor on each wheel, thats for a car with abs with traction control. i believe the non traction control cars had the sensor on top of the pumpkin, i think that is called three channel abs, 4 channel is abs w/ traction control. ...thats what ive been told at least, correct me if im wrong.

Yes they should both have ABS. I'll have to dig thru some notes, but I think 93-94 only used a 3 channel and 95-96 used a four channel if the car had the T.C. option, ( and 97+ all had 4channel)

I don't think you can just changeor modify the sensor/plug, you would need change the internals for the proper ABS ring. I'll see what I can find.
