6 pt Roll Bar Kits

Any one have suggestions for 6 pt roll bar kits? After looking through all the kits, Im leaning towards a wolfe cromoly weld in, low slung door bars, no swing outs, and straight rear bars.

Thoughts/advice?

Wolfe kits happen to be on sale this weekend...they're killing me, haha.

Yes, but thunderracing has a 10% sale this weekend on top of the wolfe prices. How long did it take to get yours once you ordered?

Wolfe hands down, have a 6pt in the cam only car and the 10 pt in my car.

WOLFE KIT definitly bout the bes kit out unless you have fab's for your car.

Im not looking for anything crazy. I have a buddy that will TIG the bar in for me. Thanks though!

So looks like Im going with a wolfe...How much work should I expect to do to fit a bar if I dont opt for the jig notching?

I have a bolt in Wolfe bar if your interested... probably gonna cut my car up...never even put it in.

I have the wolfe chrome moly 6 point in my car and it fits very well. Btw, get swing outs. Im glad I did. you can take the door bars out when your not on the track. Door bars on the street get annoying fast!

Im not really into the swingouts/removable door bar. I dont want to deal with aligning it, possible rattling, and taking it in and out. I feel like it would also weaken the bar geometry. maybe Im just whining, haha

When I have my door bars in, they dont rattle at all. Just make sure you research opinions on swing-outs vs solid door bars. I say this because, many people will tell you that putting a roll cage/bar, ruined the car for them. I left my door bars in for a week with out using the swing-outs. It didnt take long for me to be sick of climbing over door bars. My door bars only go in when I'm racing.

ALOT!!!!
I've done it several times.....without a notcher & with one ! Spend the lil extra $ and it will save you hours of in & out,grind it, fit it, grind it some more, fit again, up.... just alil more grinding, fit it, ....uh oh grinded too much, Gotta weld it a lil extra there now......
Get what I'm sayin!!!

p.s. And after all that punishment I decided to build my own up & foward turbo headers.....

i didnt have a wolfe bar but the swing outs in my gn i hated never again solid low bars for me.

had swing outs in mine first, f'n things rattled constantly over every damn bump, etc. just go solid bars and get them bent to make it easier to get in/out of the car.

yup, that is one nice thing about them. though you are left with the mount on the floor which can be quite the ankle biter.

my dad has swingouts with his 6pt cage in his vette. no rattling from the bars (even though the rest of the car is one big rattlebox ) and it makes it 10x easier to get in and out of the car

^^^^^ Exactly!! I leave my door bars out when not at the track. Even when I have my door bars in, they don't rattle. Wolfe makes a great 6 point! If you drive the car alot, door bars are only cool for the first week.

Anyone ever heard of Spohn's roll bar kits? They sell a CM 8 pt weld in kit that comes pre-notched for cheaper than the wolfe 6 pt with no options...

98% of Spohn's products are top notch. Make sure to look @ type/grade of steel the 2 cages are made up of. If its cheaper, its probably a lower gradeof steel.

I do suggest Chromely, lighter & stronger.

chromoly is not lighter than mild steel, Chromoly can use a thinner wall thickness, thats were you get the wait savings.
