90% certain it's plastic pushpins, not metal bolts.

You are thinking of the other side. The one in the picture is just two large push pins.

This is under that one. Notice no hatch release? This piece is way up by the pedals

all underdash panels and lower dash panels are held up by push pins or small 7mm hexhead screws. that driver side should just be pushpins and then that one tab slips onto a place on the firewall to hold it up in the back.

Ad the tab sticking sideways goes into the kick panel above the "dead pedal"

You can get them at Classic Industries or your local GM dealer since they are standard on a bunch of other GM cars.

In this pic, the bottom left corner should be the cutout where the obdII port comes through. So that would be towards your right if you were sitting in the driver seat. The back has those 2 fingers that hook over whatever plastic stuff is back there by the firewall and the push clips go in the front. Oh and looking at it in the pic, the piece is upside down. The side facing the ground should point towards the roof and the side we see should go towards the carpet.

Thanks man, i had a feeling thats how it went. I'll have to role the car out of storage to get enough room to open the door all the way to get underneath there. Will have to wait till i get back from FL. Thanks again.
