10 bolt gear help

ok so im replacing my gears im getting them from summit i wanted to know what do they mean by 2 or 3 Series ? my car is a 97 ta m6

Depends on what gears came stock. 3.23s are 3 series, 2.73s are 2 series.

The 3.42s in your rear(if it's the original rear) make it a 3 series rear.
