what else can i do but laugh....

I decided to hit up Island tonight, since sundays forecast is for rain.
It was pretty cold out and i'm running still basically un-tuned and on bald street tires(@32psi).

not what i was hoping for, but it'll have to do for now...
I'm on the right #2953, at least my MPH is decent

Plus while looking over my logs of the runs, i found many problems with just my driving alone, lol. So those are easily fixed.

btw, my best ET was 13.9 @ 112.22 w/ a 2.4 60'

i was driving my '01 SS, pewter with black stripes, black rear bumper.
and i was also the car that couldnt seem to hook every time i launched and shifted.

my second run, when i went into 3rd, the whole back end got loose.
And on my 113 mph run, according to my log, i broke the tires loose right when i shifted into 4th(log shows 123 mph for a split second then drops and climbs to 115)

with my 60' i knew before i even ran that it would be bad. I wasnt just launching off idle and even then, at around 4k id just loose traction.

I saw in a few runs i was shifting out of first at only 4k, mainly due to tirespin, then i was doing the 2-3 shift at like 5k. I was really paying attention to my shift light i guess. A few times i spun it up to 6500 and i could feel it pulling much harder then, but when id shift after that id have instantly no traction.

i'll post a pic of my tires shortly so you can understand what i was working with. But the 113.48 MPH still makes me laugh, if i did 2 more runs or so, i think i could have done 115.

ha.. yeah, by the end of the night i made a full run. the first run i was spewing water all over the place, got all kinds of squirrely. fixed that then i made a 1000' pass, and it felt fine so i made a full run after that. we fixed the problem we were having last weekend

you'd probably be trapping 116+mph if you actually hooked
