Square body front end change

Anyone know square bodies well? My friend has an 85 Chevy C10/1500 and when he took the grille off and it fell apart. He doesn't want to spend the money for the grille right now.
I have a square body front end from an 88 GMC K30/3500. I was suggesting that he switch to that, but I don't know about part interchanges for these years. Would he need different fenders or hood to switch over? And I would assume his radiator will still fit? How about the hood latch and the latch support, if there is such a part? battery trays the same?

I have the radiator support, fan shroud, turn signals and probably some other parts, I might still have the grille, but I can't remember right now. He said this is the "upgrade" a lot of people do, but we don't know about fitment.
