Also, pacesetters just arrived and these bastards are HUGE lol. Anybody that can swing by and help me tomorrow it will be gladly appreciated.

My number is 516-650-5406

Almost done but the damn rain is putting me on a delay

all thats left to do...

*Reinstall Passenger side A.i.R tube.(easy)
*Driver side plug wires (not bad)
*Bolt up y-pipe (turning out to be a P.I.T.A)
*Reinstall Drier side A.I.R tube (DOSNT REACH! any ideas? and no, i didnt get the delete plates yet so i gotta make this work for now)
*Put dipstick tube back in

the bad news is yesterday i went back to the Doctors and now im in a real cast so progress is really slow.

ok.. good news bad news

good news.
y-pipe went on and car was awesome.

bad news.
On the way to the summerset patriots game the driver side header gasket blew out.

so now my question.. where can i get gaskets? do i have to order them? i need them pretty quickly. ALso, can i just unbolt the header, slip out the old gasket and slide in the new one?

Well.... I don't know v8 header gaskets... but on my v6 I could just loosen the bolts, slide the gasket out and slide a new one in.

I hope that helps a bit

it probably wasn't on correctly when you installed it. loosen it, slip in a new one.

ps- gm header gaskets are the best. just go to a dealer

On my 96 SS I blew out a gasket and had to disconnect the y-pipe again to get the header to line back up properly after putting in the new gasket. If you're lucky you can just unbolt it and slide the old one out and new one in but be prepared to loosen everything back up if the header bolts don't go straight back in.

gaskets went out on me because some of the bolts weren't tight enough. They would work their way loose. Picked up some OE gaskets and got a proper bolt set (hooker bolts sucked) and monkey tightened them. No leaks since. Good luck.
