Will a 97-up cluster work ....

Would a 97-up cluster (digital odometer) work in my 96 (mechanical odometer)?

My original is metric, the one I got from Contemporary Corvette had the odometer crap out on me. So, I don't care about the mileage being wrong since it already is.

Plus the trim around the gauges in the newer ones looks cool ..

upon research, I just have to get the 97+ wiring harness plug and put the wires in the correct locations in the 97 plug.

Now ...... guess I need to see some digrams on that and were to find the plug ... and if CC has any for cheap...
