I just got back... The drive was ok... The weather was better then I expected but still had a little snow.

The idle is pulsing and the car came with a diablosport tuner and it has cams and other bolt ons so I was thinking about getting it tuned. I don't want to spend a ton of money but what would you guys say to do before tuning?

I know some people said get a LS6 intake mani and a SLP lid... Can i do just the SLP lid, will that be "good enough"?

I want a solid tune not just someone half assing it. That being said, where would you go?

Thanks
Matt

Personally, I would go to ECS. They tuned my car when I had it and I was incredibly happy. Do you know if the car had ever been tuned? Frankly I'd sell the diablosport because I have never seen them to be very useful at all. The lid will be good enough for now, but I would look strongly into an LS6 intake, they can be had for ~350 shipped at most on the forums. I wouldn't tune before getting all the parts on that you want. Just my opinion...

EDIT: oh and congrats on the car

Glad to hear that you picked it up. The LS6 manifold can be had pretty cheaply(I've seen one for $310 in the classifieds recently) and will really help the cam. I'd take the car to either ECS or TTP, both in jersey. TTP sponsors this site and i've had my car tuned there so I give TTP the edge.

Cool thanks guys! That's what I think I'm going to do. Wait a week or two buy the LS6 mani and SLP lid and get that thing tuned.

I just wen to the dmv to get the title transfered and the registration but the dude who sold it to me checked the box that says something about the mileage being unknown... It's 140k

now I have to try and contact him to get a new title or should I just say F it and just leave it the way it is?

sorry, left the mileage unknown. but in your case, being that the car is so nice, it might be worth it to chase him down for a new title.

got it thanks... idk it going to be a real pain in the ass... and take a couple weeks i'm sure... how much does it hurt the value (private party resale) if i have the carfax from right before i bought it to show them?

i think it could be rather damaging to the value, though the miles are pretty high. it could turn many buyers away too. its in your best interest to get the title corrected, but not necessary.

I got it settled now... he has to print something off online and send it to me stating that the box was checked in error.
