New guy from Sussex County
Hey guys,
My name is Sean and i'm from Sussex County (Vernon-Highland Lakes). I'm 18 and i'm currently going to Drexel University in Philadelphia for mechanical engineering. I was hoping to be able to have some fun with you guys over the summer!
A little about my car...I've had my 96 Trans Am (M6 T-tops) for a little over a year now. The car is pretty stock. Here's a list of whats done to it...
"Race Ready" Rebuilt T56
Freshened up cylinder heads
Pro 5.0 Shifter
Skip Shift eliminator
Crane 1.5rrs
Comp high tech pushrods
SLP Loudmouth II
SLP Cold air intake
LT4 KM
Hawk Performance brake pads
UMI adjustable panhard
I'm slowly trying to put some work into it, with funds always being the main problem haha. I'm hoping to get my first few runs down the track this summer. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you guys!

welcome! I'm originally from Hackettstown, I live all over now though
If you're looking to make a few runs, there's almost always a thread for a meet up at Island on Friday Nights.. Otherwise, look for random posts in the north section.

I'll definitely be going to some Friday nights at Island. Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm just a little nervous because I have absolutely no experience (other than messing around here and there). I'm not completely sure the best way to launch, I'm not sure how to time the light, and I feel like my cars going to be embarrassingly slow haha. I guess there's no better way to get experience than just getting out there and doing it!

Exactly, you only learn by trying. Theres no way to learn how to shift on the track anywhere on the street without getting pulled over, so just go out and try it. If you get to a Friday night as soon as gates open, you'll get at least 3 runs in before the crowd shows up, so thats your best bet.
Oh, and dont worry about reaction time.. it doesnt count toward your overall ET anyhow. You only need to worry about it if you plan on bracket racing.
