Manufacturer's vs. real world power

I love Mercedes-Benz

So, take a regular SL65 rated at 604 HP and 738 TQ - put it on crack and call it an SL65 Black Series rated at 670 HP and 738 TQ

Dyno it and you get: 573 rwhp @ 5300 rpm and 682 rwtq @ 3620 rpm. Those numbers are through a 5 speed automatic tranny.

The torque is just plain uber sexy!!!! advertised 738 tq???

mercedes should probably make diesel trucks. not the big box trucks and semi's, like medium duty trucks like f-350 and 3500 HD chevys. that would be noice!

Not bad for $300,000.

Of course a $125,000 zr1 with a tune will probably do that too. :P

(ugh, I sound like Al, I feel dirty)

I have more chance of getting my hands on the black series than the vette.

I think we were supposed to get one shortly after I went out for surgery - DOH!

I <3 the Black Series. One of my favorite Mercedes products lately. I think I saw one at a dealership over by the GW in the window, I forgot what town but it was in Kasey's neck of the woods.

Lol my uncle is looking for a ZR1. I told my dad to tell him I want to drive it and his response was "Only 3 people are driving that car: Me, myself, and I."
