Late 60's, EARLY 70's C3= Sexiest Corvette of all time for anything pre C6.

But i've seen other pictures of this car, looks more European than Jap in design.. reminded me of an F12Berlinetta and an Aston all mixed up.

I like it and would probably be an early champion for it's style

Jalopnik's pics and corresponding video are 99% accurate.

Here is your look of the LT1 and LT4 engine. Sort of, along with a little Stingray logo on the side.
Blah blah blah styling nonsense, this thing is going to look amazing. It's time GM steps away from the safety zone and stops listening to 70 year old Corvette owners. At the same time, you cannot throw out 60 years of heritage and evolution.
I don't agree with the move to mid-engine at all.

Its going to hurt my brain asking people if they have a Gev 1, Gen 2, or Gen 5 block LT series engine

Info from the poster of these leaked pics...

Quote:
Please no one flame me and don't shoot messenger. I have seen 5 or 6 detailed photographs and was asked not to distribute them. Nothing was said about describing what I see on them. I can try to answer questions beyond what I post below.

I have seen behind the scene details of the new C7.

I can give you some info that hopefully confirms I am not yanking your chain.

Everyone will rip me saying I am full of it but I figured you would appreciate the heads up.

I initially wasn't liking to early leaked photos... Like everyone but I think everyone will be falling in love with it.

I can answer many of the questions you may have.

I can't give you the department as it will potentially give away the leak.

LT4 engine.. Base model only for 2014, supercharged 2015.

Exhaust improved, dual note exhaust. Tips look exactly like c6

GM wanted to slim down "hips" of car so rear end is noticeably thinner.

They are aware of uproar on tailights and said, " they bitched about fixed headlights on C6 and then got used to it, it will be same with tailights.

Detroit auto show official press release 1/17/13

Center stack in interior similar to current but vertical passenger grab handle just to right of Nav unit.

Cluster has large flat screen about 4" high by 6.5" wide centered in middle. Speedo on left side of flat screen ( real speedo, not a digital graphic one) on right side of flat screen is fuel gauge upper right , above temp gauge.

Speedo gauge on left like a reverse capital D and the right side cluster looks like a capital D.

Steering wheel has flat bottom like an F1 car.

7 speed manual- reverse is far right and down.

Parking break handle is non existent as far as I can see but looks like it is a switch in center console like a window switch.... Maybe electronic. Just to right of ride control selector. Not sure how it works..

Ride control selector is in same place.

LED ambient lighting

Big front grill opening has a middle horizontal bar the color of the paint that I haven't seen in other drawings.

Crossed flag logo more V shaped.

Fender logo of a stingray fish.. Very cool.

Rear bumper "corvette" lettering is not the same color as car.

Rear tailights do resemble camaro/ Malibu but VERY angry looking.....

Convertible up and down button in same place.

Just passing along info from a lifelong corvette guy and collector...

Please be nice.

The trolling possibilities, they are great. Sell stock new LT4 intake (painted red) to 4th gen LTx owner.

More mule pics. Open hatch and open hood. Hood seems to have vents/heat extractors of some sort...

The shape seems to work. It captures the essence of a nail so well.

You know, seeing as it's another nail in GM's coffin.

Idk i kinda like it. I remember when everyone said the same thing about the c6. Look at what we think of it now. Quoting the chevy designers "They hated the C6 headlights when it first came out and now they love them. They will do the same thing with these tail lights"

They need to redo the tail lights, bumper possibly rear window. It's rounded then just flattens. They need to pick a style and stick with it.

Camaro was somewhat reminescent of the 69 tails...corvette was always a step above and ahead of the camaro so it needs it own identity...no common fender or quarter coves etc..even the hoods were different back in the day. New camaro will be smaller from what i heard and hopefully the vette will have its own footprint...but they may even use the same instrument cluster nowadays.

So that's what happens when a 370Z, Nissan GTR and a Camaro have a three way....
