The LT4 was a special high-performance version of the new-generation LT1. With the addition of a slightly more aggressive camshaft profile, 1.6:1 roller aluminum rocker arms and better-flowing intake manifold (painted red) and cylinder heads, it was rated at 330 horsepower and 340 lb·ft. It was introduced in the 1996 model year, for the last year of the C4 Corvette, and came standard on all manual transmission (ZF 6-speed equipped) C4 Corvettes.

The car looks phenomenal, but I don't know much about Corvette pricing.

LT4 has all the same hits and misses as the LT1 basically. The only real differences are a better stock cam, intake, and heads. Nothing astronomically better, but the couple extra ponies in a car that weighs a few hundred lbs less than a 4th gen F-body will let it get along pretty good.

Really no cons of the LT4. the LT4 is a good engine, it's an LT1 with upgraded internals, different heads, and intake that are basically raised runners. i think they were rated around 330HP.

4 bolt mains, and you can spin em a tad higher. Although in the end, its no real difference. Unless you plan on keeping it stock, there is no real performance difference between the LT1/LT4.

The LT4 is to the LT1 as the LS6 is to the LS1.
