69 camaro with no title.

Im looking at a 69 camaro good body, needs some work, but nothing crazy.
The price is $2900 Here in NJ, But it has no title, How can I get around that? Could it ever be registered in nj again?

I think you can get a title from the DMV. Dont go to a local place because you alwasy get a******s that dont know what there talking about. Call there main number in Trenton and inquire about it. You can get there number on there website. http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/

I sent an email to him/her asking about the title, if he/she lost it or if it was some one else who lost it. I asked for the vin, My mom said we can go and look at it, and MAYBE get it, if it was never stolen, If It was stolen ever I will not even think of getting it, because I will not be able to register it as a kit, I don't care what its registered as, as long as I can drive it on the road when it works.

Its a 4spd, 350ci car. i hugger orange with a black vinal top and evidence of black hockey stick stripes, and I love hockey stick stripes!

How do you spell vinal/vynal the spell check doesn't say!

if you can get an old registration from the car, and get the owner to write a bill of sale that is notarized, with the Vin # on it, you should be fine.

you didn't want that car, anyway. that project was way over your head and would have taken years and tens of thousands of dollars to complete.

What he said. Stop sidetracking yourself and finish your car.

As long as the car wasnt stolen and hasnt been registered in 6 years you can buy a new title. There are companys out there and you can also go through dmv. My friend is doing it for a 79 firebird he just bought out of a junk yard

you'd be waiting a long, long time. it takes $50k to build a car like that. i am not sh*tting you. the big pieces are easy to replace, but would still cost you 13k. it's the small pieces, the ones you take for granted and never see, that nickel and dime you to death. ask jeff, he'll tell you how much he's got invested in his jl8.

and i am not taking pot-shots at your skill level, either. pros take years to complete a car like that.

The simplest resto job can be easily at 20k and thats with your low level decent parts just to get the car moving around, stuffs not cheap any more which is why most projects get started people run out of money then loose interest then the car will sit and rot.

That is why it is often cheaper to buy a completed car.

do your self a favor and not buy a car from a dope who has a no title car - it will only come back to bite you in the ***** - having stolen property is the same as steeling it in the eyes of the law -- jz

Broadway title will do it. It takes some time and costs a little bit but you can get one.

WF, rest easy on this one. Trust me.

Be careful with those out of state title companies. They are starting to crack down on them so I wouldn't risk a car without a title unless you know dmv will give you a title somehow(abandoned vehicle or something like that).

Broadway can no longer can give you a title in NJ. If you know someone in Pa they can get you a PA title through Broadway.
