160 Stat in the Winter?

I have a 160 Thermostat in my car right now and once I put my headers in I am going to send my computer out for a tune so I wanted to tune it for the 160.

The thing is I may have to drive my car in the winter, is it ok to run that thermostat in the winter? Or should I just put the stock thermostat in and tune it for that then when summer comes around again just put the 160 in and tune it for that then.

Thanks.

,Nick

its up to you really...your heater will generally take a bit longer to warm up and when it does warm up it wont be quite as hot as before the thermo. Personally when my 160 thermo failed i threw in a 180.

I use a 160 all year long as well. Like was already said twice though, I did notice the few extra minutes of warm up time it took.

I went with a BeCool 180, and the computer has been tuned for it. We'll see how that goes when it runs
