2001 corvette engine problem

Hey guys the vette isnt running right. I pulled the intake off the clean out the oil from the pcv system which i now have a catch can to take its place. The problem is the motor now sounds like it has a weird knock time of a sound to it and i am clueless on what it could possibly be, its not setting any codes, all of the gauges on hptuners are showing up normal so i am out of ideas. If anyone would mind stoping by my home in Turnersville it would be a great help. thanks in advance.

I am woundering if i could have a dropped lifter/malfunction, now i am getting a slight squiling from the car and it has me woundering, this just occured after the car got up to operating temperatures.

Is the intake the only thing you removed? Could you describe what you did a little more?

when it is running pull the disptick and see if you get vacuum and if the knock stops. If the pcv isn't working right it will be sucking in air like crazy into the cranckcase. I had the exact same problem and it was a pinched pcv line. My fix was putting on thye LS6 PCV system. Well worth the money IMO.

I removed the intake fully cleaned that, cleaned the tb, got a new maf cause the iat sensor was bad, new gaskets for the manifold, and the pcv system is now gone and a catch can is in place of it.

Yeah you can go that route, you can't eliminate the PCV entirely, pressure has to escape. Glad I could help.
