Kenwood CD Changer skips with loud bass

I have my changer in the hatch area and is not touching my subwoofer box (12" JL Audio 12w3v2). The changer skips a little when I have the bass turned up loud, and am wondering if the anti-vibration mechanism needs attention or the cd lens is out of alignment. I touched the changer and did not feel any excessive vibration in the unit when the bass was on.

If it needs repair, is there a good place in Central Jersey that will take care of it? Thanks.

Have you tried a lens cleaner? Could be something as simple as the lens is getting crudded up some...

I will try that since it doesn't do it all the time. Is there a specific one I should go with?

i kno that happens in my friend's car...
it could just be that you are producing more bass than the anti-vib mechanism can handle.

Well, I found a Staples-brand cd lens cleaner that I had lying around. Wiped it to make sure I don't put more dust than I take away. Ran it twice in the changer.

I am not sure if this really fixed it, but it did not skip for the short amount of time I turned it up.
