New Hood and opinion on racing stripe

So I finally painted and installed the hood I bought from V a while back. I peeled off all of the single blue racing stripe because they were faded and would of looked stupid without having decal on the hood. I want to get an honest opinion from you guys if you think it looks better wthout the stripe or if I should get a new stripe. Thanks

I am a factory look kinda person, so i believe anniversary cars should have a stripe. Since the single stripe wouldnt work with that hood, i would maybe look at putting 30th anniversary stripes on it.

Not bad, though I don't like the white hood vents.

I'm not a big fan of that hood but if you wanted to keep something of the 25th anniv theme, you could run two blue stripes on the side of the hood scoops and run duals to the back to line it all up.

I plan on masking off the hood and painting inside the vents flat black. I'll also probably put some sort of screen over it depending on how it looks flat black.

I was originally wanting to keep it all original and 25th themed but then i realized it will never be worth more for being an anniversary car, so I may think about doing the 30th 2-stripe look.

If you don't do a stripe, I would do some stripes on the sides of the scoops with Ram Air decals and maybe the ceta mod on the back? Would help break up the white some. Very clean car nonetheless.

blue blackbird stripes would look good on that hood and keep the whole combo.

honest opinion...the factory hook looked better, if anything maybe an lt1 ws6 hood would look good, but this style looks strange. I am another that is a fan of stock looks, especially on an anniversary car

Upon seeing this thread, http://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-cl...ing-shape.html , I decided to do a quick 'chop to see what Blackbird Stripes would look like on your car. I kind of like it...

I blacked out the nostrils very quickly while I was at it, and did the door emblem. I have some stock 5-spoke wheels I could bring by next time I'm at the girlfriends that you could mock up to see if you like, as well--Chrome, and another set that is flat-black with chrome lip (Think CETA wheels).

Ditch the front plate and throw some lowering springs on there and I think you'd like it a lot.

Thanks for the honest opinion. I think that in person it doesnt look as grotesque and bulging like the pictures make it out to be. It definitley is a pretty bold look, though.

I really like the hood on the car, I hate the ram air ones that are connected in the middle. The double looks great. But the white is to much, The blackbird stripes would look awesome on the car and still sorta help to keep the anniversary look. But im not a fan of the stock stripes on the anniversary's.
